Emergent Travel Health
A leader in travel vaccines was struggling to address the widely-held notion that getting seriously ill abroad “won’t happen to me”. As part of extensive discovery, I listened to global travelers and healthcare practitioners to inform a new strategic plan that leaned into disease education, risk awareness, and risk avoidance. I led the development of an omni-channel communication plan, including a first-of-its-kind, consumer-focused travel health website that provided searchable, real-time, country-specific disease information as well as travel alerts, tips for healthy travel, and connections to trusted sites such as the CDC and State Department.
Shortly after launch, when Covid derailed travel, I led a sharp, strategic pivot focused on providing tips for Covid prevention and updates on vaccine status while keeping dreams of future travel alive.
